About Me, Tami Merry

My approach to design is rooted in a lifelong instinct to create spaces that feel both meaningful and lived in.

I grew up in a small town in northern Minnesota, building treehouses from reclaimed wood and transforming barns into imaginative spaces. At home, I was always rearranging furniture—learning early on how a space can feel, function, and flow.

That curiosity eventually took me far beyond my hometown. I lived in Switzerland, spent time in Ireland, and traveled throughout Europe and Asia. These experiences continue to shape how I see and approach design today.

After studying at North Dakota State University and UCLA Extension, I moved to Los Angeles. There, I worked with Dodd Mitchell Design and Kenneth Brown Design, contributing to HGTV’s reDesign and designing for clients in the entertainment industry, including creatives from Seismic Productions.

I later launched my own design business, creating homes for actors, film editors, and other creatives. During that time, I also explored fine art, with paintings featured in shows, and experimented with fashion design.

Now based in Tennessee, I design spaces that feel collected, personal, and quietly refined—balancing beauty with the way people truly live.
